When creating Destino Yoga Nicaragua, we were inspired both by the paths our lives had taken and the incredible setting in which we were beginning our new journey. Put simply, we felt we were living the destiny the universe had mapped out for us, and wanted to bring that joy and energy and true life to our guests. One of our main goals is to stimulate change, growth and contentment through health and yoga.

The Destino logo and its evolution is a pretty cool story. We went into the design wanting to incorporate themes of following your heart and being true to yourself while still bringing in elements of the sea…where we feel most at home. When we started researching symbols for destiny, fate, and the sea we came across one that, although ancient in origin, seemed to have been designed for us.

The base of the logo is a Celtic symbol called the Triskele and is used to symbolize the cycles of life with in the three fold, or three spheres of influence in the material world. The three spheres (Land, Sea and Sky) represent the three aspects of the material world that are contained in every object. Each aspect ever flowing outward and always returning to the point from which it started. To perfect the logo, adding a small wave brings into focus the waves, and rhythm, and beauty of Nicaragua.

At Destino we strive to nourish these aspects within ourselves and our guests…you have to always be flexible, physically, emotionally and mentally. You should always be ready to change, ready to grow and ready to follow your dreams without forgetting where you came from.

We believe that, just as you return to child pose when struggling in your yoga practice, returning to the point at which you started (home, family, and friends) will help you breathe again.
