Our Staff
Lindsay’s first encounter with yoga was volunteering at the Santa Cruz yoga centre, through yoga she found inner acceptance, confidence and an enjoyable challenge.
Whilst backpacking solo around New Zealand, Lindsay found her home in yoga. The grounding and calming effects of her daily yoga routine kept her mind and body strong through another two years of ‘shoe-string’ backpacking around Australia and Asia. On returning home to Santa Cruz she decided to take her practice to the next level and become a teacher.
After an intensive training period Lindsay gained her international certificate in Level 1&2 Purna yoga from the Byron yoga centre (Australia), and registered with Yoga Alliance. Lindsay is also certified to safely teach pregnant women during all stages of pregnancy, as well as confidently guiding post-partum women.
Purna Yoga represents a holistic approach to yoga integrating not just the physical postures but also philosophy, meditation, pranayama breath control and the yogic personal and social code of ethics. Lindsay can structure the classes around you – whether you’re looking to de-stress, build strength, rejuvenate the body and mind or just try something new.
Namaste.
